Pete Price is visiting a number of Fag Ends sessions leading up to national No Smoking Day on Wednesday 14th March 2012.

Pete's meeting people who are trying to quit smoking and the co-ordinators who are helping them achieve their goal.

Pictured above, Pete is holding a container full of tar which doctors believe can build up in a smokers lungs if they smoke 20 cigarettes a day over a two month period.

Ken (above) is a regular listener to Pete's Late Night Phone In and decided to get involved with our campaign in partnership with Fag Ends. Ken admits he smokes 40 a day and spends nearly £5,500 on cigarettes every year. He told Pete he's determined to quit: "The campaign with Radio City has probably saved my life because I've been trying to give up for years."

This is Hillary Mcelwee (above, far right) , a Fag Ends co-ordinator based at the Townsend Lane, Neighbourhood Centre. She spends hours every week advising and supporting people who are trying to give up smoking for good.
