Story Highlight
Do you want to raise funds for your school?
Cash for Kids and Little League Sports have been working in partnership since early 2011 when they organised a fundraising project called the Big Boot. The Big Boot saw a 16 strong team break the Guinness World Record for the longest ever game of 5 a-side football taking it to 41 hours continuous play. The game was played in Williamson Square, Liverpool City Centre with the participants battling against the elements throughout. The record helped Cash for Kids raise valuable funds which was spent on sports provision in schools for local children over the Summer holidays. The success of the event, which was supported by sports stars and celebrities throughout the city, lead to a long term partnership between Little League Sports and Cash for Kids being forged, with the aim of raising funds for schools throughout Merseyside. How will we raise funds? Cash for Kids and Little League Sports now give schools the opportunity to fundraise whilst their children get the opportunity to enjoy healthy activities. All children within the school are asked to raise a modest amount of sponsorship for taking part in activities that will see them shoot or throw balls into our inflatable arena. The children with the highest score in each year group will receive a prize.
What will the money be used for?
This means the school is effectively receiving 66% of the funds whilst the children get a fun filled day of sporting activities. All prizes will be awarded to the children by Courage, Cash for Kids’ mascot in an assembly in the weeks after the event. The school will also receive a shout out on Radio City 96.7 in recognition of their good work. For more information and a pack please contact us on
